6/14/2025 | Newburgh Branch Hosts Free Document Shred Day and Canned Food Drive

On Saturday, June 14th, Zeal’s Newburgh-Livonia branch location hosted a packed Shred Event & Donation Drive! The community showed up in droves, creating a line around the parking lot before the branch even opened for the day.

All non-perishable food items and household supplies donated have been brought to CARES of Farmington Hills, a food pantry servicing 8 local communities, and will be distributed to those in need.

Thank you so much to all of our volunteer workers and community participants who came by to securely shred their confidential materials with Bulldog Records Management, Inc. With your help, we were able to help the community keep their private information confidential, while also helping the planet (and community!).

5/1/2025 | April was a busy month for Zeal’s The Financial Huddle (TFH) team!

On April 23rd, events kicked off with the financial education webinar, “Understanding Credit Reports & Scores.” Participants learned where to obtain a credit report, how to read the report itself, and tactics to help raise or repair credit scores from Zeal’s Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC), Tiffany Sweet. On April 29th, the Financial Huddle team met in person for “Investing in a Volatile Market,” a seminar hosted at Zeal’s HQ and presented by Jon Lybeck (CRPC) and Herman Moore. Participants were excited to learn more about investing and retirement, along with the opportunity to meet legendary all-pro Herman Moore, and win TFH giveaways and signed Moore memorabilia. Finally, TFH wrapped up the first group of events with the April 30th webinar “Homebuying & Mortgage Process 101,” presented by Keri Marentette of The Mortgage Center.

4/25/2025 | Yesterday, the Zeal team celebrated Bring Your Child to Work Day in style with more than two dozen participants.

Team members and their “junior associates” learned about the credit union difference, how branches operate, and all of the work that happens behind the scenes to keep a financial institution running smoothly each day. Thank you to everyone who participated, especially all of our helpful junior associates who continue to prove that the next generation is well equipped to tackle the future with character, empathy, and a whole lot of passion!
